Here’s a little Mother’s Day milk-bath in which to soak your every maternal instinct -- or to treat your mother to on her special day. Even though milk may be pasteurized in our modern age, it still retains its mystical and magical qualities, and continues to serve as a form of nourishment across the globe.

Many traditions consider milk to be a gift from the gods that will enhance the ability to give and receive love. This particular bath I'm recommending is known to soothe, calm and replenish both body and spirit -- much like the things we expect the proverbial Mama to do! The addition of fresh mint and parsley encourages personal empowerment. The salt is a detoxifier, and the milk will help soften your skin ... and your perspective!

Draw a bath, lie back, feel the powerful personal energies come forth and let uneasy concerns swirl down the drain.

½ cup golden honey
½ cup whole milk
½ cup Epsom salts
3 fresh crushed mint leaves
A small bunch of fresh parsley

Mix the first two ingredients in a bowl and add the mint and parsley. In the meantime, run the bathwater and add the Epsom salts and let sit for at least 10 minutes. Right before you (or your Mama) enter the bath, add the honey and milk mixture from the bowl and, then, for goodness sake, enjoy a long hot soak!
