Stairs are a really quite important structural consideration in Feng Shui. To bring in Chi, or energy, from floor to floor an ideal staircase should be wide, well lit and not hampered by a low hanging ceiling. If a staircase is narrow and dark, the obvious advice is to increase the lighting. One quick trick that helps this effort is to hang a mirror on the ceiling to 'double' the light brigade and improve energy flow. And, of course, always avoid a staircase that runs right into the front door as this will cause money and opportunities to walk right out the door. If you have any staircase anomalies such as these, or open risers that allow Chi to escape before it hits the other floors, one of the easiest ways to adjust is to hang a wind chime at the staircase between the door and the start of the stairs. A small crystal hung there will have the same beneficial effect as will mirrors hung at intervals or platforms. The perfect placement though is to install a light on the ceiling above the stairway that shines from top floor to bottom. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine!

Frank Baum who bought us lions and tigers and bears and flying monkey's too! The next time you feel adrift, and like no one cares or understands you, take a second to go to a place of privacy, preferably where there is a mirror. Look straight into your own eyes and then declare, 'I am an irresistible magnet for everything that is mine by Divine birthright.' Say it like you mean it, and say it nine times. Say it before you go to sleep at night and right as you awake in the morning. Pretty soon, you'll believe it and so will everyone else around who will now find themselves mysteriously very attracted to you. See, there is no place like home, especially when that home is staring right back at you!
